There is No Charge for a Second Opinion at the Gamma Knife Center.

If contacting our Patient Coordinator for a Second Opinion, or to see if you are a candidate for Gamma Knife radiosurgery, the following will be required:

  • Your call back information for the doctors’ use
  • You should FedEx (or courier) your latest MRI and/or CT Scan to us along with the report
  • Your physician should fax a recent history and physical to the Center at (858) 452-5677, attention Nurse Coordinator.

Once we are in receipt of the above items, your case will be presented to the Faculty at our weekly Brain Tumor Clinic. Usually on the day of review, a physician will contact you to further discuss how Gamma Knife radiosurgery can help your condition. It is then your decision to choose a direction to proceed in.

For the diagnosis of trigeminal neuralgia, we will only need your call back information. The doctor can then contact you to discuss your case. There is no scan required in this instance.
